GoodSeeker's Top Values Driven Employers of Greater Washington D.C. Announced

‍Introducing GoodSeeker’s Top 20 Values-Driven Employers of Greater Washington Area List. After reviewing hundreds of companies, GoodSeeker recognizes these top workplaces for having a great company culture and for being committed to employee success.

March 3, 2021 — On March 3, GoodSeeker announced its Top 20 Values-Driven Employers of Greater Washington D.C. list. The list covers companies with at least 500 employees. The team conducted extensive research on over 450+ employers headquartered in the area, to find companies who demonstrate a clear commitment to corporate values and a positive employee experience. These companies display high levels of appreciation and engagement, proudly share employee stories, give talent a voice, and inspire advocacy from teams and leaders.  Companies include: Bozzuto, Gallup, Marriott International, Danaher, ManTech, Hilton, American Red Cross, Capital One, Mars, Booz Allen Hamilton, ECS, Lockheed Martin, AvalonBay Communities, Clark Construction, Deltek, Ellucian, 2U, CARFAX, Credence Management Solutions, Zeiders Enterprises, Inc.

The first workplace list of its kind, GoodSeeker defines a “values-driven” employer as one that promotes workplace culture, celebrates employee success, and connects talent to its brand in a positive way. Erik Ayers, CEO of GoodSeeker states, “There’s nothing more true to your brand than showing employees that their efforts matter. Organic employee stories help prove and validate employer brand claims; our goal with this list is to highlight special employers who put employee success at the center of their story - even during a pandemic. Candidates need to see who cares.”

D.C is the second market GoodSeeker has conducted this research in after Nashville, TN. Ayers shares, “Our purpose as a software company is to create tools that give good work and the people who make it happen the visibility they deserve, and opportunity to grow,” says Erik Ayers, CEO of GoodSeeker. “Conducting this research is one way to uncover companies who are going above and beyond to celebrate employee success and connect talent to their values.” According to GlassDoor, D.C is one of the top cities with the highest job growth in the U.S after Boston, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.

Using online data and social media monitoring GoodSeeker created a methodology and criteria to determine who was eligible for the list, and an employer’s overall “Story Power.” The start-up scored and ranked companies based on a variety of factors to indicate a commitment to values, celebrating employee success, and using employee success stories in communications.
