Enhance remote Culture Initiatives with stories

What are bigger cultural initiatives you’re doing to keep your remote employees engaged and connected? For example, hosting company game nights, virtual cooking classes, lunch time, learning sessions etc…

Storytelling is a great cultural initiative to keep employees engaged and connected - it needs no walls. It provides you with trusted content to prove that your culture is more than a cool place to work (although very important) and that your values are more than words on a wall. It’s content that centers around employees and is a great way to keep momentum going. Stories are powerful as they serve as a trusted window into an organization’s culture for candidates.

Stories validate culture and value propositions with real examples. We’ve seen companies gamify collecting employee stories. It is a source of lessons learned and knowledge sharing while also benefiting the company AND the employee.

After researching over 1000 employers, we’ve seen that employee stories help promote a positive employee experience, recognize talent, serve as a learning tool and really show what it’s like to succeed everyday with your team. Finally, they are organic when coming from peers and show your true colors.
